A Journey Towards Balance and Strength

Ashleigh Louis, M.A., is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern that is interested in helping you search for answers to these tough questions. She has worked with a variety of diagnoses in several mental health settings, including the Chapman Community Clinic, Boulder Rape Crisis Center, Boulder County Safe House, and Kids First program for children of divorce. She has also worked for two years as a school-based therapist at elementary, junior high, and high schools around Orange County.

Ashleigh believes that the demanding nature of Southern California living can lead many people to feel estranged and inauthentic in their relationships. Feeling lonely, sad, anxious, or insecure are often signs that your body and mind are not in harmony. Therapy can be helpful for identifying the issues in your life that are contributing to your pain and discovering your inner balance and strength. Although therapy can be painful, it is an amazing opportunity to explore yourself and commit to living a life that is based on your personal values.

Ashleigh also has a lot of experience working with children and teens with a variety of emotional and behavioral problems. The pressures of school, society, and family can be overwhelming and contribute to the difficulties associated with childhood and adolescence. Ashleigh helps children and teens make sense of the chaos around them and encourage their growth and autonomy. She recognizes the unique challenges children and adolescents face and enjoys exploring these issues with them.
