Do you think that the other parent may be intentionally trying to alienate you from your children?

I would like to help.    Sometimes when relationships end badly, the tragic result is often a high conflict divorce and custody battle. If this has happened to you, or you feel that you may be headed in that direction, I can help. I work with those who may be trying to work more cohesively with a parent that might be trying to alienate them from their children. I provide counseling and coaching for the alienating parent, assisting them in finding more effective ways of communicating their frustrations without using the children, to help prevent and avoid court intervention. When the family court must intervene, I work closely with them and with social services as they investigate, evaluate, and supervise the custody issues brought before the court. I assist family court in reunifying parents who have been alienated from their children, offering conjoint counseling to parent and child, helping them repair relationship damage done. I also work closely with social services to provide rehabilitation for the alienating parent, who may be under court supervision. Rehabilitation involves helping the alienating parent develop insight into their behaviors. It includes educating this parent about the negative effects of alienating behaviors on their children and on their ongoing relationship with their children. We all work together to effectively and harmoniously reunify both parents with their children. Dr. Renee Miller is the founder of Journey Coaching and Counseling Services.  She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with a Doctorate in Psychology.  Her education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. She has training in Jungian psychology, dream analysis, sand tray therapy, cinema therapy, domestic violence, high conflict divorce and custody issues, and anger management.  She is an active member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, including active membership in her local chapter in Orange County.
