Living in a culturally diverse community like Southern California, many of our relationships are becoming cross-cultural, both at work and home.  More people are getting married to spouses from different ethnicities, and more multi-ethnic parents are raising children.  The children of multi-ethnic families bring another layer of challenges due to different generational values.  In addition to these challenges at home, in the age of frequent mergers, acquisitions and volatile economic ups and downs, many professionals are facing even more pressure, such as down-sizing, relocation and reassignment.

Are you feeling like you are at a dead-end and there is no way out of a stressful relationship or family issue?  Perhaps you are having problems with your spouse, in-laws, aging-parents, or children?  Are you under pressure from your boss or colleagues?

I work with families facing cultural and cross-generational issues and professionals who are facing stress from the corporate world.  Let’s start working together and exploring your strengths and possibilities to face your life challenges.  I have experience working with:

•Cross-Cultural Marriage and Family Issues

•Adjustment Issues due to Relocations/Migration

•Parenting of Immigrant Families, Raising Second and Third Generations in America

•Work Place Stress Management

In addition to the above specialties, I offer bilingual counseling in Japanese and English.

Call me for a brief consultation at 949-533-5389.  I will be glad to answer any questions and concerns you may have about counseling.    email: chisatomft@gmail.com.
